Sibu tops the list with 9 cases reported today, Sarawak records 29 new Covid-19 cases

KUCHING, Jan 29: Sibu topped the list with nine new cases reported today as Sarawak recorded 29 new Covid-19 cases.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a daily report today, Kuching also reported five new cases, followed by Kanowit with four cases, Miri with three cases, and Limbang with 2 cases.

Six other districts namely Bau, Samarahan, Sarikei, Betong, Subis, and Sri Aman reported one case each.


This brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State to 252,791.

Of the new cases recorded, one case was reported under Category 3 (with lung infection), 19 cases were reported under Category 2 (mild symptoms), and nine other cases are in Category 1 (asymptomatic).

As of today no new Covid-19 deaths or clusters were reported. — DayakDaily
