SIBU, March 30: The district police here has carried out disinfection and sanitising works on three of its police stations, as a preventive measure against Covid-19.
The three facilities included its central police station lock-up room, Sungai Merah police station and Sibujaya police station.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, said the move was to ensure that its officials and public members would not be affected by the virus.
“The spraying of disinfectant and sanitising are important, as sometimes members of the public who come to the police station for various purposes might not even know they have contracted the virus,” he said.
The work, he said was done by police personnel of the three stations. — DayakDaily
