Sibu gears up for Sarawakku Sayang 2026 this July as Premier set to officiate

KUCHING, May 26: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is scheduled to officiate the Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) Programme for the Sibu Division, which will take place at the Sibu Town Square from July 10 to 12.

According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) report, various activities have been lined up for the programme, including exhibitions, government agency service delivery initiatives, entrepreneurship activities, traditional sports, and community entertainment performances.

In chairing the SKS 2026 Central Zone coordination meeting on Monday (May 25), Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Operations) and divisional-level committee chairman for Sibu, Sarikei, Mukah, and Betong, Datu Hii Chang Kee, said that close cooperation among all implementing agencies is crucial to ensure the smooth organisation of the programme.

He cited strong cooperation between relevant departments and agencies, which will help ensure that all planned activities are carried out efficiently and achieve their intended objectives.

During the meeting, matters discussed included task coordination among agencies, programme planning, and logistical arrangements.

Following Sibu, the SKS programme will continue at the Sarikei Sports Complex (Aug 7 to 9), Dataran Pehin Sri Raja in Mukah (Aug 28 to 30), and the Betong Sports Complex (Sept 4 to 6). — DayakDaily
