KUCHING, Nov 4: The Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) has reduced the visiting hours for patients at the hospital as part of the measures to curb the Covid-19 infection.

SGH in a notice issued by its director said the new visiting hours for patients at the hospital are from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm to 7 pm.

As part of the measures to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection in the hospital, SGH said it has also put a limit of one visitor for entry at any one time.

It said visitors are required to wear face masks to protect themselves and the patients.

The hospital said children below the age of 12 and senior citizens are prohibited from entering the hospital unless for medical treatment.

SGH said visitors who experience fever, flu, sore throat, coughing and diarrhea are advised to seek medical treatment at the health clinic and not allowed to be in the compound of the hospital.

It added that visitors are required to declare their health status using the QR code or health declaration form provided.

SGH also said high-risk visitors with low immunity are not allowed to visit the hospital except for emergency cases. — DayakDaily
