KUCHING, Sept 27: The body of one of the four workers who went missing after their boat capsized in the middle of Sungai Krian, Saratok, was recovered today.
The body of local Mohd Asfar Sulaiman, 25, who was the boat operator, was discovered at 9.37am today under a bridge that was undergoing construction near the Kaba Ferry Jetty about 300 feet away, according to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).
It was earlier reported that the boat, carrying 10 passengers including the boat operator, capsized along Sungai Krian on Friday (Sept 26), whereby six managed to save themselves.
The search continues for the remaining three victims—Gunawan Pawadi (35), Budianto Yapani (50), and Karyono (41)—who are all Indonesian nationals. — DayakDaily
