KUCHING, May 26: The main water pipe that supplies Sungai Asap has burst, causing water supply interruptions and prompting repair works to restore water to the area.
The Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) in a media statement today said the Bintulu Division water supply department has identified the water leak which occurred at the main water pipe near the junction of Uma Badeng since 11am yesterday.
It added that contractors have been informed to repair the water leakage as soon as possible.
In the meantime, JBALB said the Bintulu division water supply department has delivered water supply to the affected areas.
It added that it will update the residents of Sungai Asap of the latest developments through its social media platforms.
