KUCHING, April 11: Several areas in Sarawak are expected to experience thunderstorms and heavy rain until 8pm tonight.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) in a Facebook post, warnings were issued for Serian, Samarahan (Simunjan), Sri Aman (Sri Aman), and Kapit (Bukit Mabong) at 5.35pm today.
A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close to or expected to occur for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release. — DayakDaily
