Service Sarawak Centre provides seamless experience to Sarawakians

MIRI, Feb 27: The launch of Service Sarawak Miri which serves as a one-stop centre is an evidence of Sarawak government’s commitment to transform Sarawak civil service to be more effective in its service delivery.

Expounding on Sarawak civil service’s ‘One Government at Your Service’ concept, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said the services provided in the one-stop centre will give the users a seamless experience.


Service Sarawak Centre will be made available to all divisions and districts in stages within the 12th Malaysia Plan.

“This service can also be available in the rural areas as long as there is internet connectivity,” said Abang Johari.

Citing the example of Long San which has internet accessibility, he said with the provision of the hardware, Long San folks may be able to enjoy the services provided by Service Sarawak Centre.

He added the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) is currently upgrading internet connectivity in the rural areas to allow rural residents gaining access to service of Service Sarawak Centre.

“This is part of our effort moving towards digitalization,” Abang Johari told the media after the launching of Service Sarawak Centre at Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) in Miri.
