KUCHING, Sept 27: Three areas in Sarawak have recorded unhealthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings as of 12pm today.
According to the Natural Resources and Environment Board Sarawak (NREB), Serian recorded the highest API at 152, followed by Lubok Antu and Sri Aman at 140 and 102, respectively.
Meanwhile, most areas Statewide recorded moderate readings, with Kuching and Betong bordering the unhealthy category with readings of 94 and 91, respectively.
Other areas with moderate readings include Samarahan and Tebedu (83), Mukah and Bintulu (74), Lundu (68), Samalaju (66), Sarikei and Sibu (65), Belaga (64), Kapit and Limbang (63), ILP Miri (62), Miri (61), and Lawas (56).
Bario is the only area under the ‘good’ category with an API reading of 48. — DayakDaily
