Serembu to see a five-cornered fight in 12th Sarawak Election

KUCHING, Dec 6: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate Miro Simuh is in a five-way fight in his bid to defend the N18 Serembu seat in the 12th Sarawak Election.

Miro, 49, will face off against 64-year-old Micheal Nebin Saweng of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), 46-year-old Iana Akam of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), 53-year-old Dr Jecky Misieng of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) and 52-year-old Buln Ribos of Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party (Aspirasi).

Miro, who is the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) deputy Youth chief, won Serembu, which is a new seat created in the 2016 redistribution, in the 2016 Sarawak Election.

He won with 1,397 majority votes against independent Nyomek Nyeap, Athina Klaywa Sim of PKR and Buln Ribos of Aspirasi. — DayakDaily
