KUCHING, Nov 10: A senior citizen was killed after he was hit by a car while attempting to cross Jalan Simpang Tiga yesterday (Nov 9).
Civil Defense Force (APM) Kuching in a statement said they were informed of the incident by a complainant at 6.44pm.
According to the statement, a team of APM personnel were rushed to the location led by Kpl (PA) Khairuddin Jamel.
“Following their arrival, they found the senior citizen laying motionless on the side of the road.
“According to an eyewitness, the victim was running to cross the road when he was hit by a vehicle,” the statement read.
The victim was declared dead at the scene of the incident, and his body was later handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
