Gerawat, who is also Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring), mentioned that Mutang’s condition has not shown improvement since his admission to IJN and requested sincere prayers for his recovery.

On May 6, Dewan Negara’s office issued a statement revealing Mutang had arrived in Kuala Lumpur around 1am that day, and was rushed to the hospital.

Mutang had been in Azerbaijan since April 29 for an official working visit and returned earlier than scheduled due to health issues.

During his visit, Mutang was leading a delegation from Malaysia to attend the ‘6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue’ taking place from May 1 to 3 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

While there, he paid courtesy calls on Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, and attended meetings and briefings by local industry players. — DayakDaily
