Self-test made compulsory before public allowed to visit SMC

Notice by the SMC chairman on performing self-tests before visiting SMC.

KUCHING, Feb 19: Members of the public must perform a Covid-19 RTK Antigen Test and produce negative results within one day before visiting Sibu Municipal Council (SMC).

SMC chairman Clarence Ting said the test result should be recorded in a photo along with the identification card showing clear indication of time and date.

This is in line with the recent increase in daily positive Covid-19 cases in Sarawak and in Sibu.

“This is with immediate effect from Feb 18 to March 3,” he said in a statement yesterday (Feb 18).

With that, the council seeks the kind cooperation of the public to help curb the transmission of Covid-19 and comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP) at all times. — DayakDaily
