KUCHING, June 28: Sultan of Selangor Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin have arrived safely in Kuching for a three-day visit.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Their Majesties arrived in Kuching International Airport (KIA) at 11.55am and were welcomed by Sarawak Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar and his wife Puan Sri Datin Amar Fatimah Iskandar.
Also present to greet the royal couple were the wife of the Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datin Amar Enn Ong Siok Ean, and other dignitaries.
The Royal Highnesses will attend the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) held at the Sarawak Cultural Village on Friday (June 28) and Saturday (June 29). Additionally, they are scheduled to visit the Tun Jugah Foundation Museum and Gallery on June 29.
Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin are expected to depart Kuching on a special flight on June 30. — DayakDaily
