KUCHING, August 17: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak vice-chairman See Chee How has been appointed as Special Officer for the Ministry of Works for the state.
This was announced by Works Minister Baru Bian through a statement congratulating See, as well as Special Officer for Sabah Dr Roland Chia, who is former Inanam assemblyman.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of See Chee How and Dr Roland Chia as Special Officers representing me in Sarawak and Sabah respectively.
“See and Dr Chia have kindly accepted their appointments on a pro bono basis, and are authorised to represent me in matters under the purview of the Ministry of Works in Sarawak and Sabah,” said Baru, who is also Sarawak PKR chairman.
He explained the main purpose of their appointment was to assist Baru in addressing all matters or issues that require the minister’s attention and action without being hindered by protocols especially the views, recommendations and suggestions of those from the ground who have no direct access to the Ministry of Works. — DayakDaily
