KUCHING, July 27: Sebauh is now Covid-19-free after reporting no new local infections in the last 14 days.
Alongside Limbang, Lawas and Daro, this brings the total number of green districts in Sarawak to four.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said Sebauh currently has two active cases still receiving treatment for Covid-19.
Apart from that, the committee reported that Tebedu’s Covid-19 status had turned from red to yellow, after recording only four local infections in the last 14 days.
The other yellow districts are Selangau, Tanjung Manis, Lubok Antu, Song, Sri Aman, Kanowit, Matu, Julau, Kabong, Marudi, Pusa and Belaga.
Mukah, Telang Usan, Asajaya, Dalat and Bukit Mabong remain orange districts while the other 18 districts in Sarawak are still classified as red.
At the same time, SDMC reported that Rumah Jelaping Sumok, KM22, Jalan Tatau/Sangan in Tatau District has been placed under an Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from yesterday (July 26) until Aug 8.
Meanwhile, Kampung Muding in Simunjan has started its EMCO today and will end it on Aug 9.
SDMC also announced the three villages in Kuching to be placed under EMCO starting tomorrow (July 28) until Aug 10 are Kampung Telaga Air, Kampung Jawa Batu 12 and Kampung Bumbok.
SDMC did not announce any extension of EMCO in any of the previous areas put under lockdown. — DayakDaily
