Based on information obtained, the victim, Enrique Bong Kai Cen, was believed to have left his house at Jalan Kim Chu Shin, Batu Kawa, without the knowledge of his family at around 4.15pm today.

This prompted his family to search for him, whereby they found the victim’s shoe about 10m near a small stream in Kampung Kim Chu Shin, and the other shoe was found about 30m away, but they were not able to locate him.

Firefighters searched the area, including the stream and nearby plantation forest, but found no leads. Villagers monitoring the main river jetty at Batu Kawa also reported no signs of the victim, and firefighters continued the search in the adjacent plantation.

In addition, the police have also deployed their K9 unit and are utilising drones in the search for the victim. — DayakDaily
