KUCHING, Aug 1: Travellers entering Sarawak no longer need to fill in the traveller’s card feature in the MySejahtera mobile app effective today, says the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

This came following the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) statement dated July 30 on the decision to abolish the requirement of filling out the traveller’s card feature for all travellers entering the country.

“Therefore, SDMC would like to inform that with effect from Aug 1, 2022, all travellers who enter Sarawak no longer need to fill in and complete the traveller’s card feature in the MySejahtera app,” it said in a statement today.

Previously, travellers entering Malaysia needed to download, activate, and register the MySejahtera app on their mobile phones and complete the traveller’s card by declaring information such as their passport number, citizenship, the purpose of travel, place of departure, departure date, and arrival time.

Travellers are also asked to verify the type of Covid-19 vaccine and the number of vaccination doses they have taken on the pre-departure form. — DayakDaily
