MIRI, April 24: A three-foot long monitor lizard wandered into a classroom at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sayed Othman on Tuesday, terrifying 17 pupils inside the class.

The 10kg reptile was eventually caught by a three-person Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) team after they received a call about the ‘visitor’ from the class teacher at 3.16pm.

According to sources, the reptile was spotted entering the classroom (One Murni) during a class session.

Worried for the pupils’ safety , the teacher immediately called Miri APM for help.
