SBF to discuss COVID-19 vaccination and impact on local businesses

Upcoming webinar discussion on Covid-19 vaccinations.

KUCHING, Feb 18: The Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) will be organising a live webinar on ‘COVID-19 Vaccination and The Impact on Sarawak Business’ to keep Federation members informed on the latest developments in Sarawak.

According to SBF deputy president Datuk Philip Thing in a press statement today, the webinar will be held on Feb 24, 2021, at 10.00 am via the SBF official Facebook page as well as Zoom application.

“With the imminent rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine scheduled for the end of this month, it is an opportune time for all Sarawakians to be cognizant of the issues surrounding the whole vaccination process, to prepare ourselves for the reopening of the state.


“We are lucky to have a very distinguished panel of speakers from the government, business, medical profession and tourism. I am sure they have much to share with all,” he said.

The panel speakers for the webinar are YB Dato Sri Prof. Dr Sim Kui Hian, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee Advisor and Minister for Local Government and Housing, Datu Abang Helmi Ikhwan, Chairman of Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneur Chambers and member of the National Economic Action Council, Assoc. Prof Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, Director, Economic Planning Unit Sarawak, Dr John Chew, Chairman of the board of management of Borneo Medical Centre and Ms Audrey Wan Ullok, President of Sarawak Tourism Federation.
