KUCHING, Jan 10: Sarikei MP Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii urges community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK) to be diligent in fulfilling residents’ requests to upgrade roads and repair ones that have been damaged.
According to a news report published today by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Huang also called on KMKK to play their respective roles in elevating the voice or request of the residents.
He also expressed hope that the residents would be able to apply through their local community leaders or the Sarikei Service Centre.
“I will work with the Meradong Julau District Council (MDMJ) to coordinate road upgrading works.
“Furthermore, I will join forces with Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing to identify locations that require upgrades,” he added.
Meanwhile, Huang pledged to shoulder his responsibilities and work hard to fulfil the people’s wishes in return for their trust.

Also present at the meeting were Meradong District Officer and MDMJ chairman Badjuri Bidin, MDMJ secretary Wan Mohammad Wan Badhi, MDMJ civil engineer Nur Hazirah Sudong, Sarikei Division United Chinese Association (UCA) chairman Gung Chiu Kion, and KMKK. — DayakDaily
