“The year 2025 will mark the fund’s transition into a new phase—namely, the capital deployment phase.

“As a global-class investor, SSWFFB will continue to adopt a cautious and strategic approach, always guided by the interests of the people of Sarawak,” he said, as reported by Sarawak Information Department (Japen).

He stressed that the SSWFFB, established as Sarawak’s sovereign wealth vehicle, is designed not just to manage capital, but to safeguard the State’s wealth with transparency, accountability, and a long-term vision for future generations.

Premier Abang Johari joined representatives from government agencies and corporate partners in a symbolic pulut kuning cutting ceremony, marking the occasion in a spirit of unity and shared purpose.

Also in attendance were Deputy Premier and Second Minister for Finance and New Economy, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas; Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Amar Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian; Tun Jugah Foundation chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Leonard Linggi Jugah; and Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
