KUCHING, Feb 10: Sarawak’s first locally produced craft beer, 1602 Craft Beer, will be affordable and create business opportunities for everybody, says Global Sales and Marketing Sdn Bhd chief financial officer Wong King Wei.
He said that this is the vision 1602 Craft Beer wants to do — to constantly focus on creating value for others in the future.
Wong disclosed that they wanted to set a foothold for 1602 Craft Beer in Sarawak by creating business opportunities for the people.
“We do not use an exploitative model to create our brand, but to create values for Sarawak, so that Sarawakians will have more job and business opportunities because of us.,” he said during the launching of 1602 Craft Beer by Minister for Food Industries, Commodities and Regional Development, Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi, at a local hotel last night (Feb 9).
He elaborated that the premium craft beer will be affordable so that everyone can enjoy it, regardless of if they’re from urban or rural areas.
“With that, we also want to make fresh craft beer affordable for everyone,” he said.
The premium 1602 Craft Beer comes in four varieties: lager, pale ale, extra dark, and wheat.
Also present were 1602 Craft Beer founder Dato Sri Lee Kee Lung; 1602 craft Beer Brewery, Corpial CorporationSdn Bhd chairman, Datuk Peter Nasian Ngusie; and board members. — DayakDaily
