Sarawakians urged to embrace love, compassion and unity this Christmas season

KUCHING, Dec 24: Love, compassion, generosity and peace are the universal values that help build harmony and unity in the Sarawak’s multicultural society.

Reminding this in his Christmas message today, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan encouraged the people of Sarawak to embrace the spirit of Christmas.

“These values transcend differences in religion and culture and contribute to the social stability and unique harmony of the state,” he said as reported by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas).

Awang Tengah also urged the public to practise these values in daily life, emphasising that working together is key to strengthening unity, empowering communities, and building a more inclusive and prosperous Sarawak.

“May this festive season bring peace into our homes, hope into our hearts, and renewed strength as we move forward together,” he said in extending season greetings to the people of Sarawak. — DayakDaily
