KUCHING, June 27: Sarawakians going overseas to further their education need to submit their vaccination applications to the Sarawak Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), they need to email their applications to citfsarawak@sarawak.gov.my and provide the following information: full name, MyKad number, MySejahtera ID, mobile phone number, name of university, proof of enrolment, university enrolment letter, academic starting date, the reason for vaccination and the district where the vaccine will be administered.

On June 22, SDMC advisor Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian in a Facebook post said he had received many enquiries from parents and anxious students on their need for vaccination before leaving for studies overseas in September.

He said there will be procedures to follow when applying for early vaccination involving letters and supporting documents.

Dr Sim said students who are going overseas to study in September might need to be inoculated with the first dose in the first two weeks of July 2021 in order for them to complete their second dose by the first week of August 2021. — DayakDaily
