KUCHING, Feb 24: Three Sarawakian skateboarders will represent Malaysia at the 2025 SEA Games to be held in Thailand this year.
According to TVS, the trio are Mohd Raqeeb Azizan and two brothers, Mohd Nur Firdaus Marzuki and Zainul Mutaqien Marzuki.
All three were selected after their performances at the Malaysia Action Sports Championship organised by My Skate, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Rakan Muda on Feb 22 to 23 at the Ragas Extreme Centre Kiara Skatepark in Kuala Lumpur.
Raqeeb emerged as the champion in the junior men’s category, while Nur Firdaus topped the open men’s category, while his brother, Zainul, came in second place.
The championship is seen as the best platform to provide exposure to local skateboarders. — DayakDaily
