SRI AMAN, Dec 1: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said Sarawakian leaders are for everyone and would focus on the state’s development rather than quarreling amongst themselves.

Abang Johari said Sarawak is lucky as the state is peaceful and its leaders are committed to development.

ā€œThere is a party, that does not have any other thing to do but quarrel amongst themselves until today, in order to decide who will be the next number 8 prime minister, number 9, number 10 and eleven.

ā€œIn Sarawak, we are not looking for that, as the leadership in Sarawak is always changing, and whoever the leader is, he is the leader for every Sarawakian,ā€ he said.

Abang Johari made these remarks in his speech during the ground-breaking ceremony for the Lingga Waterfront and the launching of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Lingga Service Centre here today.

Abang Johari also noted that as the Chief Minister replacing the late Pehin Sri Adenan Satem, he will continue with the manifesto which was promised in 2012.

ā€œI took over from the late Adenan because he passed away after 7 months of winning the (state) election, and I am fulfilling his manifesto to develop the rural areas and improve the livelihood of the rural people,ā€ said Abang Johari. ā€” DayakDaily
