Sarawak TYT’s portrait while still in office as 19th Senate president unveiled in KL

KUALA LUMPUR, March 22: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar’s portrait while still in office as the 19th Yang di-Pertua Negara was unveiled yesterday (March 21) in Kuala Lumpur.

Following the unveiling of the portrait, he also signed the Collection of Royal Decrees, which was published while he was still in office.


Accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, he later broke fast alongside members of the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara in the banquet hall at the Parliament Building.

Wan Junaidi held the position of Yang di-Pertua Negara from June 19, 2023, to January 19, 2024, before he was appointed as Sarawak’s 8th Yang di-Pertua Negeri on January 26, 2024.

Other notable attendees were the Senate president Datuk Mutang Tagal, Dewan Rakyat speaker Tan Sri Dato’ Johari Abdul, and members of the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara. — DayakDaily
