KUCHING, March 22: Four houses were destroyed by a fire while four others were damaged in a pre-dawn fire incident at Kampung Haji Baki.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the incident at 5.22am and dispatched Bomba Petra Jaya and Bomba Batu Lintang to the location.
The operations commander reported that fire had destroyed four two-storey houses, and the other four houses nearby were only 25 per cent affected.
No casualties were reported in the incident, and firefighters managed to control the situation at 6.38am before proceeding with overhaul and post-incident works. — DayakDaily
