KUCHING, Dec 17: Sarawak has been chosen to host the All-Malaysia Parliament and Legislative Assembly Speakers’ Conference next year.
This was revealed in a press release issued earlier today in conjunction with Sabah Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Datuk Seri Panglima Kadzim M. Yahya’s visit to Kuching yesterday (Dec 16).
During his visit, Kadzim paid a courtesy call to Sarawak DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, where they exchanged ideas and deliberated on ways to foster better ties between both August Houses.
In the evening, Kadzim and Asfia attended a wedding reception of Sarawak DUN officer Zulkhairy Mohd Hajemi held at Majma’ Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Hall (Sarawak Islamic Complex) here.
Also present during the reception were Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development (MIPD) Datuk Aidel Lariwoo and Kalaka assemblyman Mohammad Duri. — DayakDaily
