KUCHING, Dec 17: A shoplot at Riverview Park along Jalan Lutong Batu in Miri was destroyed in a fire yesterday (Dec 16).
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lutong said it responded to the incident after receiving the call at 7.18pm, according to a report.
The operation commander reported that the shoplot that is located on second-storey of a building was 100 per cent damaged by flame.
Firefighters managed to put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to other premises.
The operation ended at 8.39pm after firefighters ensured the situation was safe and there was no source of reignition.
No casualties were reported in the incident. — DayakDaily
