Sarawak-Singapore partnership sees new initiatives in energy, business opportunities

KUCHING, Sept 11: The partnership between Sarawak and Singapore will continue to be strengthened through various initiatives, particularly in energy and business opportunities.

In a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Singapore’s Minister for Manpower Dr Tan See Leng emphasised the Singaporean government’s readiness to expand more mature and comprehensive cooperation to boost both economies.

“We aim to enhance ties between Singapore and Sarawak, especially in the energy sector. Simultaneously, we are exploring various initiatives to improve connectivity and create further business collaboration opportunities,” he said.

He shared these remarks with reporters after a courtesy visit to the Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

During the metting, discussions also covered the future direction of cooperation between Sarawak and Singapore.

Tan expressed appreciation to Wan Junaidi, describing him as a highly knowledgeable leader within the Sarawak’s institutions.

Tan’s working visit to Sarawak commenced today, with a scheduled meeting with Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg later in the day. — DayakDaily
