Sarawak sees zero positive case of Covid-19 today

KUCHING, Nov 21: Sarawak reported zero positive case of Covid-19 today.

With no new case of Covid-19 reported, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement said the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak remained at 1,055 cases.


The committee added that there was one patient who recovered and was allowed to be discharged from the hospital.

In the meantime 64 patients are receiving treatment for Covid-19 at isolation wards in the hospitals, of which 56 patients were being treated at the Sarawak General Hospital and the other eight patients at Miri Hospital.

The committee observed that a total of 59 local transmission cases of Covid-19 was reported in Kuching in the past 14 days.

SDMC said there were five new cases of Person-Under-Investigation (PUI) and none awaiting laboratory test results.

It added that there were 307 Person-Under-Surveillance (PUS) who registered into hotels and quarantine centres today to undergo the mandatory 14-days quarantine.

SDMC said 3,206 PUS were undergoing quarantine at 31 hotels and quarantine centres throughout Sarawak while a total of 32,754 PUS have completed their quarantine period today. — DayakDaily
