Looking back at previous statistics, there are now at least 76 medical staff who have fallen victims to the novel coronavirus as of today.

On Jan 13, DayakDaily broke the news quoting Sarawak Health Director Dr Chin Zin Hing that 13 medical officers in the Sibu Hospital were tested positive for Covid-19.

That was the first for healthcare providers or the frontliners in Sarawak to get infected this year.

Seven days later on Jan 20, Dr Chin reported another 20 positives among medical staff in the Miri Hospital.

By Jan 25, Dr Chin revealed again to DayakDaily that there were in total 53 medical officers across four major hospitals in Sarawak infected with the dreaded disease.

The following day on Jan 26, there were five additional cases of Covid-19 identified among the medical groups across the state. — DayakDaily
