Sarawak reports no new Covid-19 cases, 15 still receiving treatment

KUCHING, Dec 2: Sarawak reported zero new Covid-19 cases today, maintaining the total number of cases in the state at 1,065.

According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement, presently there are 15 patients being treated for Covid-19 at isolation wards at various health facilities across the state.


Out of that number, nine patients are at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), four at Miri Hospital and two at Sibu Hospital.

There were 11 cases of local transmissions in the past 14 days in Sarawak with nine cases reported in Kuching and two cases in Miri.

SDMC also revealed there were no new cases of recovery reported while there was a new Person-Under-Investigation (PUI) case, with no laboratory test results pending.

There were 244 new Persons-Under-Surveillance (PUS) registered into hotels and quarantine centres to be quarantined.

A total of 4,011 PUS are undergoing quarantine at 38 hotels and quarantine centres, with a cumulative total of 35,403 PUS having completed their mandatory quarantine so far. — DayakDaily
