Sarawak regains clean slate with zero Covid-19 cases recorded

KUCHING, June 22: Sarawak recorded zero Covid-19 cases today, according to the SDMC in a press statement.

The total number of positive cases in Sarawak remains at 569 cases while the death toll is unchanged at 17.


There are 17 patients still being treated at isolation wards at various health facilities.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) also revealed there were 27 new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases and four PUI are awaiting laboratory results.

No Covid-19 recoveries were reported today.

Meanwhile, 117 persons arrived in Sarawak today and were checked into selected hotels for quarantine as persons-under-surveillance (PUS).

There are 917 persons who are undergoing quarantine at 14 hotels throughout Sarawak.

A total of 16,520 PUS have completed their 14-day quarantines as of today. — DayakDaily
