Sarawak records zero positive cases of Covid-19 today

KUCHING, Aug 13: Sarawak recorded zero positive cases of Covid-19 today.

According to State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in  a press statement, the Jupiter cluster was declared to have ended today after no new cases reported over the past 28 days.


Nine clusters of Covid-19 remain active in Sarawak involving 67 patients from the Engineering company cluster, Mambong cluster, Healthcare centre cluster, Stutong market cluster, Kuching jetty cluster, Sentosa Hospital cluster, Person Under Investigation (PUI) Melbourne, Kuching Construction Company and the Satok Market cluster.

SDMC said there were three patients who are still being treated at the isolation ward in the hospital while no patient recovered and discharged from the hospital today.

The committee added that there were 36 new PUI cases while one PUI case is awaiting laboratory results.

It said there were 88 people who registered as person-under-surveillance (PUS) into hotels today.

The committee added that there were 820 PUS who are undergoing quarantine at 16 hotels throughout Sarawak.

SDMC said a total of 21,137 PUS have completed their quarantine period as of today. —DayakDaily
