Sarawak records seven new Covid-19 cases today

KUCHING, Jan 10: Sarawak registered seven new Covid-19 cases today; the first time this year that the number of new cases decreased to single-digit since Jan 6 last year when Sarawak reported five cases.

This brought the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Sarawak to 252,505.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee’s (SDMC) report, two out of the seven new cases were in Categories 3, 4, and 5, while five cases were in Categories 1 and 2.


Breaking it down, two patients are in Category 4 and are on breathing support.

There are two patients in Category 2 with mild symptoms and three asymptomatic patients in Category 1.

Meanwhile, Kuching ranked the most by district, reporting four cases, followed by Bintulu (2) and Sibu (1).
