Sarawak records continuous drop in Covid-19 cases, 50 cases today

KUCHING, Dec 15: The number of new Covid-19 cases in Sarawak continues to drop as the State recorded 50 cases today.

According to State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), 46 of them were in the mild Categories 1 and 2 while the remaining four are in the more serious Categories 3 and 4.


Further breaking it down, there are 27 Category 1’s, 19 Category 2’s, one Category 3, and three Category 4’s.

None were reported in Category 5, which involve severe lung infections and those that require ventilator support.

In terms of districts, Kuching registered 16 cases, followed by Miri with 12 cases.

Other districts with new infections were Bintulu, Sibu (3 cases each), Saratok, Serian, Meradong, Asajaya (2 cases each), Limbang, Lawas, Lubok Antu, Tanjung Manis, Betong, Sebauh, Kabong, and Belaga (1 case each).

Meanwhile, Sarawak recorded zero new deaths and zero new clusters today. — Dayakdaily
