Sarawak records 13 new Covid-19 cases today

KUCHING, Jan 2: The number of new Covid-19 cases in Sarawak decreased by more than half to 13 cases today compared to 28 cases reported yesterday.

This brings the cumulative number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sarawak to 252,341.

According to a statement from Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), Category 3 recorded one patient with pneumonia, and Category 5 recorded one patient who requires a ventilator.


Category 2 recorded four patients with mild symptoms, and Category 1 recorded seven asymptomatic patients.

There are were no new deaths reported.

By district, Sibu and Limbang ranked top with three cases each.

This was followed by Kuching and Lawas with two cases each, while Miri, Serian, and Marudi reported one case each. — DayakDaily
