In addition, he highlighted the presence of another new mosque in Kemuyang, constructed with innovative technology eliminating the need for pillars.

“Very soon, we will also construct a mosque in Kemuyang using this advanced technology without pillars. We aim to develop mosques at the district level for the Muslim community’s benefit, setting an example for others to follow,” he elaborated.

Construction of Masjid Al-Madinah Al-Husna began in August 2019 but faced interruptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, it resumed afterward, culminating in the magnificent structure that stands today as a testament to development in Sibu Jaya.

The mosque construction project, jointly undertaken by the Sarawak State Government and the Sarawak Housing Development Corporation (HDC), in collaboration with local authorities, was completed on October 5, 2023.

Spanning a five-acre site, the mosque can accommodate 3,210 worshipers on its first and second floors simultaneously.

Its strategic location near Sibu Jaya Health Clinic, Sibu Jaya Fire Station, Sibu Jaya Police Station, and Sibu Jaya Library ensures convenient access for the community. — DayakDaily
