Sarawak Premier, Communications Minister discuss solutions for troubled telco towers

KUCHING, May 19: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg receives courtesy call from Communications and Digital Minister Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil at the former’s office at Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex here today.

During the meeting, the primary focus of their discussion was to address critical communication issues plaguing the region, especially telco towers that have failed to deliver essential services.

Ahmad Fahmi also addressed future plans, including matters related to the Malaysian Digital Economy Blueprint 2023-2030.


“This is to ensure the strengthening, development, and sustainability of the digital economy in our country,” he said in a media release today.

Following the visit, Ahmad Fahmi proceeded to hold a meeting with Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications Datuk Julaihi Narawi, at the latter’s office.

Earlier, he greeted media members who were covering the First Session of the Second Term of the 19th DUN Assembly at the Media Center.

Ahmad Fahmi is currently on a visit to Sarawak from today until May 21.
