KUCHING, Jan 12: Sarawak’s actual revenue for 2025 has reached RM13.5 billion, exceeding the earlier projected figure of RM13.01 billion after additional income was recorded when state accounts were finalised in December 2025.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the higher figure emerged following the closure of accounts at the end of the financial year.
“We projected RM13.01 billion initially.
“After the year-end accounts were finalised, there were further additions, and the revenue came to RM13.5 billion,” he said.
He said this after officiating the Free School Bus Programme and Smart Classroom initiative at SJK Chung Hua No 6 here today.
According to Abang Johari, the State’s higher revenue reflects prudent financial management and Sarawak’s continued economic progress. — DayakDaily
