Sarawak Minister: National freight forwarders’ council meet in Kuching gives recognition to local industry players

KUCHING, Dec 17: Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin has applauded the Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders (FMFF) for the commencement of its 121st council meeting in Kuching, giving recognition to the transport and logistics industry players in Sarawak.

He said the meeting served as a platform for networking and planning strategy in moving forward the logistics industry.

“This meeting that is held here in Kuching gives recognition to the Sarawak Forwarding Agencies Association (SFAA) whose role is also important in the logistics and supply chain industry for Sarawak,” he said at a dinner hosted by SFAA and Ministry of Transport Sarawak (MOTS) at the Waterfront Hotel here last night.


Amongst those present were Sarawak Customs Department director Dr Ahmad Taufik Sulaiman, FMFF president Alvin Chua Seng Wah and SFAA president William Liang.

Among the activities held at the event was a presentation session from Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC) on “Fleet Management Solution” and UOB Bank on business financial matters.

A total of 120 participants attended the dinner which comprised of members and representatives from transport and logistics industry players. — DayakDaily
