Sarawak logs 21 new Covid-19 cases, Kuching accounts for 7

KUCHING, Feb 2: Kuching reported seven new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of new cases in Sarawak today to 21.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement, Kuching was followed by Miri with six cases, Sibu (three), Kanowit (two), while Kapit, Samarahan and Subis recorded one case each.

This brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State to 252,861.


Of the 21 cases, seven are under Category 1 (no symptoms) and 14 are under Category 2 (mild symptoms).

No new Covid-19 deaths or clusters were reported in the State as of today. — DayakDaily
