Sarawak logs 17 new Covid-19 cases, Kuching records 8 cases

KUCHING, Feb 1: Kuching recorded eight new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total number of daily cases in Sarawak today to 17.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement, Sibu and Miri reported three new cases each, while Bintulu, Kapit, and Song recorded one case each.

This brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State to 252,840.


Of the 17 cases, 11 are under Category 1 (asymptomatic), five are under Category 2 (mild symptoms), and one is under Category 3 involving a patient with pneumonia.

No new Covid-19 deaths and clusters were reported in the State as of today. — DayakDaily
