“Sarawak has been assigned to host 17 sports, the highest among the co-hosting states,” said Abdul Karim during his ministerial winding up speech at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) sitting today.

To him, the assignment demonstrates a strong confidence in Sarawak’s readiness, capability, and commitment to delivering a world-class sporting experience.

The Sarawak Stadium will be used to host the Games’ opening ceremony, highlighting the State’s capability while offering a platform to showcase its culture, unity, and progress.
