KUCHING, Jan 7: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning to Sarawak effective from January 10-12.
In a notice posted on Facebook, the warning, which was issued at 2pm today, was based on the analysis of weather models, which indicated that a strong monsoon trough is expected to enter the country from January 9-13.
“This has the potential to cause heavy and continuous rainfall in several states in Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak.
“The public is advised to always refer to METMalaysia’s website and download the myCuaca application for the latest and most accurate information,” said the department. — DayakDaily
