KUCHING, March 3: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, are expected to attend Yayasan Sarawak’s Annual Iftar, which will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on March 22, 2025.
Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, who also serves as the Yayasan Sarawak Board of Trustees deputy chairman, extended the invitation to Wan Junaidi during a courtesy call at Astana Negeri today.
According to a report by the Sarawak Information Department (Japen), the upcoming event aims to bring together Sarawak civil servants and students currently residing in Peninsular Malaysia, strengthening the bonds within the Sarawak community.
In addition to the iftar, the event will feature the symbolic launch of the Special Financial Assistance (BKK) program, introduced by the Sarawak government. The program will provide RM1,200 in financial aid to Sarawak students studying at Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT). – DayakDaily
