KUCHING, March 28: Sarawak Energy Berhad (Sarawak Energy) received dual honours at the ongoing Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards (MTEA) today in recognition for its pioneering initiatives, highlighting its crucial role in shaping the landscape of digital utilities.
According to a press statement, one of the awards received by Sarawak Energy is the ‘Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) — Energy’ category award, which was secured by the Mobile Onsite Billing System (MOBIS) wherein this platform revolutionises electricity billing and meter readings, enhancing efficiency and optimising service delivery for customers across the State.
Also, with its pioneering integration of virtual reality (VR) into procedural-based training, Sarawak Energy clinched a second award in the “Learning and Development Technology—Utilities” category, setting a new standard for workforce development and providing users with a more enriched learning experience.
Both the implementation of MOBIS and the integration of VR in training signify the essential steps towards achieving the company’s digital utility goals by 2025, marking crucial milestones in its journey toward greater efficiency, customer focus, and forward-thinking in the energy sector.
